What are Doody’s Core Titles?
A core title is a book or software title that represents essential knowledge needed by professionals or students in a given discipline and is highly recommended for the collection of a library that serves health sciences specialists.
A new list of core titles comes out every April. More than 170 professionals (including UVM Libraries' own Susan Swogger) have participated in the selection of the titles appearing in the 2021 edition of Doody's Core Titles in the Health Sciences - 68 Content Specialists and 102 collection development medical librarians who voluntarily served as Library Selectors, and two librarian consultants.
The 2021 edition of DCT covers 121 specialties in:
- Clinical Medicine
- Basic Science
- Nursing
- Health Science
