In celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, Dana Health Sciences Library is showcasing some of its collection of LGBTQIA+ Graphic Medicine novels. Described as “the intersection between the medium of comics and the discourse of healthcare”, graphic medicine is a way of tackling topics in a relatable way and communicating perspectives and stories that may not otherwise be shared. Using the combination of comics and storytelling, it also can be a way of healing from trauma. In addition to our display, which will be up for the month of June in our main hallway, Dana has an online guide that is a one-stop-shop for all our graphic medicine resources.
