UVM is returning to in-person operations on August 2. Many of us have been working remotely for over a year; for some, this will be the first time back on campus since that memorable day in March, 2020. If your technology has gotten used to working in its pajamas, it may need some refreshing too.
UVM has put together a great guide to bringing your technology back to campus. Some of the steps can be done before you come back. Others will help you get back up to speed on August 2.
If your laptop has been off campus for months, it may need some extra time to run updates when you get back -- so plug it in and get it on the network before you go catch up with your colleagues. You've probably changed your password while you were away, so you'll need to reconnect to the wireless network as well.
If you run into trouble, the UVM Tech Team or College of Medicine Technology Services are available to help. Be patient, though, everyone coming back is probably having the same problems.
Oh, and don't forget to dig out your CATcard and parking permit!
