Welcome Back to Dana! We've made a few improvements to our space

It is an exciting time to be in the library! The library will return to regular hours on Sunday, August 8.  COVID restrictions on seating and small group study rooms have been lifted by the University.  The library will again have its full seating capacity of approximately 140 seats, many of them new.  The library has purchased more Brody Study Pods, by far the most popular seating in the library, including six Brody Desks and six adjustable height standing desks. Small group study rooms with be available for booking online for two hours, up to two weeks in advance, using Howe library’s online booking system LibCal. One carry over from COVID will be a Collaborative Study area in Dana, where talking, remote learning and quiet group study will be allowed, basically a “noisy area”. New furniture and tables in this area have been placed to allow library users to sit face to face and work together when they want. The library’s printing stations have moved to the front of the library, closer to the public computers and the main desk.  Overall, it looks like a new library, and we can’t wait to have library users experience the new setting. Welcome back!
