Employment at the Dana Health Sciences Library

Student Employment

Student worker positions at the library are available to UVM students and are posted through the UVM Student Employment Office at the beginning of any semester. Library assistant positions staff the Main Desk and function as the first point of contact for library users. Student worker positions are part-time and work around a student's class schedule. Desk shifts are available whenever the library is open, including: daytime, night, and weekend hours. The library welcomes applications from students who qualify for Federal Work Study, but it is not a requirement that you have a Work Study Grant. You must be a UVM student to be eligible for employment.

UVM Libraries is currently accepting applications for a Web Services Librarian:

The University of Vermont Libraries seeks an innovative and dynamic librarian ready to design, develop, maintain, and evaluate the Libraries' web presence and other online user interfaces. Successful candidates will be flexible, self-motivated, desirous of new challenges, and have excellent communication and design skills. The position will combine the skills of an academic librarian with an aptitude for designing and developing inclusive and accessible web interfaces to enhance the user experience on- and off-campus. The position works closely with technical and public-facing colleagues to integrate proprietary and open-source platforms into the Libraries' interfaces. The search will remain open until the position is filled. For best consideration, complete applications should be received no later than March 4, 2022.
